Eusi Kwayana Speaking in Atlanta

Black Power and Workers’ Control in the African World – Community Discussion.
Thursday, October 18. 7:00 p.m.

In collaboration with the Department of African American Studies at Georgia State University, the Auburn Avenue Research Library will host Black Power and Workers’ Control in the African World. This community lecture will be facilitated by activist, author, and Pan African visionary, Eusi Kwayana (author of the classic The Bauxite Strike and the Old Politics), who will discuss his extraordinary journey from electoral politics to the building and support of a movement that shaped political history of Guyana, the only English speaking country in South America and regarded as a historical part of the Caribbean.

A new edition of Kwayana’s The Bauxite Strike and the Old Politics is currently available from OooA! Publishing. Order your copy HERE. You can also find this title on Amazon.com.

This event will coincide with a book signing.
